Cooper Dawg

So I think Cooper has been neglected on the Blog front for far too long. I know the Blog is named for Althea but Cooper has been sulking around the house and I thought it was time for some cute Cooper shots to make their way to the rest of the world. Enjoy!

Slim has seen better days for sure but he is still among her favorite toys.

Some days snuggling up on the couch is the only good answer.

Lobster anyone? She was mildly freaked out by the live lobby but she loved the cooked lobby for sure!

Ouch!

Yes, the baby biting has begun. Althea was bit today - I am sure it will not be the last time and I am sure that she will bite back at some point. Don't worry, she'll be fine - all part of the growing up thing - just wish there were some parts you could skip...

Won't be long

While I was away this weekend taking painful teaching tests Althea decided that she can stand on her own thank you very much. She uses Matt, me, the dog or any other object to pull herself up and immediately lets go - walking is sure to follow very soon.

I will post some cute new photos later today - if she actually goes down for a nap.

New Survey Thang

Hi everyone - So Blogger has this cool new tool where you can survey people coming to the Blog...As you can see I thought it could be fun to try out for awhile. I could survey chocolate vs. vanilla, or electric toothbrushes vs. old fashioned manual toothbrushes, or Eastern time zone vs. Atlantic time zone or perhaps a survey about the survey... Anyways it is meant to be fun, so have some fun and go with it : )

Oh Yeah! The Althea update:
Two weeks ago she attended a fundraiser Bruins vs. Mariners alumni game - awesome! Her favorite ex-NHL player was there - that would Gary McAdam (you can find more information about Gary at: http://www.legendsofhockey.net:8080/LegendsOfHockey/jsp/SearchPlayer.jsp?player=13579
Although it is always nice to see Gary I was more than a little excited to see that stud Terry O'Reilly - hip replacement surgery just last year and there he was skatin' around without a helmet, stud.

Althea also attended a Pirates game this weekend with Uncles Drew and Jay and me and Matt - she had a pretty good time - the young men sitting in back of us cooed over her all game, she loved it!

She is standing on her own for very, very, very brief periods of time - it won't be too long before she takes the first unassisted steps.

Oh yeah and did I mention that she is getting a tooth? Back to little sleep for her and us for awhile - oh well, sleeping through the night is overrated.

A little piece of paradise

Okay - so we flew into Seattle on Saturday night and feasted on some of the best pizza around before catching about two hours of sleep...The next day we headed up to Guemes Island with Will, Jay and Alice dog - Kevin, Marianne and Willow meet up with us there. I expected a really rustic place and anticipated lumpy beds and a dank odor (rainy climate and all) - what we got was a fabulous place totally outfitted, comfy beds (wicked comfy), no dank odor and glorious sunshine! A great start to a truly fantastic week.

The spot we stayed at - we could have had at least four more people and still been comfortable in this house - it is huge.

The view from the deck. We saw Mt Baker every day we were there - really awesome.

Up with Daddy for the sunrise.

Sunrise on Puget Sound.

Looking down the beach to the state park.

Guemes!

Guemes was amazing - here are some more shots of our fun filled weekend on the island.

Alice dog wants to know why you aren't throwing the ball...

Willow and Althea explore each others toy collection.

You aren't throwing the ball because Will is throwing the ball...
Yes, that is Mt. Baker in the background - it was a beautiful view all weekend long!

Lovin' the baby backpack! Althea was bundled up each day for a nice walk on the beach, usually falling asleep about 15 minutes into the walk.

Drama queens.
