Ruby Ruby

Matt and Althea chasing or being chased by the waves.

Chris and Althea checking out the wave fall line...

That Althea is one funny little lady, check out the pile up of logs along the edge of the tree line - reminders of logging or erosion I'm not sure which but it was seriously impressive.

This is the lake that I want to call home - Quinault Lake, beautiful!

Ruby Beach in ONP. That is a sea stack in the water behind Althea and the biggest pieces of driftwood you have ever seen all around her.

Sea Stacks through the trees on the way down to the beach.

Althea and Matt at our campsite at the Hoh.

This yearling was chomping on some leaves behind our tent - I was about 20 feet away taking tons of shots, this is by far one of the best.

Even more Pacific Northwest photos

Whoa! Look at the size of that tree!

Checking out yet another huge tree at the Hoh Rainforest, ONP.

The forest floor is full of nurse logs like this one that Matt and Althea are posing near.

Althea picked up the receiver, put it to her ear and said, "What's that noise?" It was the dial tone - boy don't we feel old.

Really interesting mosses all along the trail of the Hall of Mosses at the Hoh. Althea was delighted to be on Matt's shoulders and taking in the full effect of the trail.

Althea was a real trooper and walked the 0.8 miles to Sol Duc Falls at Olympia National Park. Here she is checking our the falls with Chris from a safe distance. The waterfall was quite impressive and could be heard a long way off.

Posing through the fence rails - she is into the classic little kid show all your teeth when you smile phase...

Althea and Matt enjoying the falls from another angle.

She insisted on using her own walking stick for most of the hike. The trees along the way to the falls were huge!

Althea and Chris stalking the black tailed deers that came for a visit outside of our cabin at Sol Duc.
